The Artist • Donna G. Harms
561-623-8740 Donna was born to paint. She was raised on Apple Pie Ridge in a rural area in the rolling hills of West Virginia. After receiving a Fine Arts Degree from the University of WV, she moved to the big city of New York and then to Atlanta, Ga. Her life has been as rich and dramatic as her art. She owned an Arabian horse farm, traveled the world and has lived throughout the United States.
Donna's art is in private collections in West Virginia, Atlanta, Seattle, New Mexico and Chicago. Recently, she has exhibited at shows and galleries in New Mexico. Donna now resides in the Blowing Rock area of the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina. [ The Art ]

Of her vibrant landscape painting, the artist says, "The landscape should flow from your heart and your brain, otherwise it is just an illustration." Donna's paintings are inspired from her mind's eye which was developed by her many life experiences. She says, "My goal is to capture the impression of light, form, pattern - the essence of the subject." The artist successfully combines hard and soft edges, color and open spaces, leaving room for the eye to dwell. It is often said of her energetic and colorful works that she paints from her heart.
